Under 15s 2007-2008
Acott
Jack
Able to play in a number of positions, Jack has had his ups and downs this season. When he is good, he is very, very good…but when he is bad, well…he knows what I mean! Like a number of the lads it is up to him now to grow up.
Barton
Joe
An ever-present at training, Joe was handed the captaincy halfway through the current campaign. Joe is keen to learn his trade at centre back and already shows great interest by supporting the senior sides and is a fine clubman.
Blowers
Jack
Formerly viewed as a frontrunner, Jack has adapted his game this season and proved that he can play in a number of different roles, including some very impressive outings in midfield. Excellent progress and 2008-2009 will be a big season for Jack.
Calahane
Reece
After an indifferent start to the season, left-sided player Reece has worked hard to secure a regular starting place. A conscientious lad, Reece is expected to pledge his future to the Green and continue to work at his game.
Churchley
Dan
Dan works his magical left foot to the advantage of the team and grabs many important goals. A regular trainer, Dan does a great deal of running off the ball and if we work on his right foot (yes, you have one Dan!) he can go places.
Dalby
Martyn
Arsenal fan Martyn is already a splendid example of what a Green clubman should be: training every week and supporting the senior sides. Terrific attitude by playing both at full back and in goal for the benefit of the team, he is going to be a big part of our future.
Dalby
Marcus
Martyn’s younger brother, Marcus, perhaps does not gain as much match day experience as is ideal. However, what he lacks on the physical side, is made up for with skill and movement off the ball. Trains regularly and his time will come.
Hurst
Jamie
All clubs need characters and Hursty is certainly that! As this season has unfolded, Jamie has performed better and better at the back and clearly if his talents are harnessed properly he will be a big asset. Trains every week and gives it and takes it. Top man.
Murrell
Reece
Formerly playing in a striker’s role but now thriving at the heart of the defence since Jordan’s wobbly. Looking much more assured now and a real prospect for the future. Reece is part of his successful school team and is now doing well at the Green.
Neil
Aaron
Effervescent midfielder Aaron never moans about anything. A former captain of the side, he has started to recapture his best form. A regular attender at training night, next season will be a big one for Aaron as he strives to fulfil his potential as a future club skipper.
O’Gorman
Jordan
An accomplished central defender and the current player of the year, Jords has so much ability but can be such a pain in the arse … loves it at the Green and the sooner he realises it the better as he is too talented to be messing around. It’s up to you mate!
Pierzchala
Krzysztof
‘Kris’ is the latest addition to the squad having joined around Christmas. Although he is having to wait his chance, his potential is obvious and he ‘looks like a footballer’. Usually comfortable down the left flank, Kris has enormous potential and one for the future.
Wall
George
Charlton supporter George is another who always trains and the club has great hopes of him developing into a top midfielder. A quiet lad, George has scored some remarkable goals from set pieces and his prodigious work rate sees him cover every inch of the pitch.
Wojtowicz
Ashley
Cheeky midfielder ‘Ash’ is in his first season and he has proved a tremendous addition to the squad with his natural ability and intelligent running. Another who loves training, Ash has made the Green his second home and is integral to the club’s future plans.
